Our Amazing Kapa Haka Lesson
Team Pukeko had their first Kapa Haka lesson today. It was amazing! We will have a lesson every Tuesday morning with Matua Steve.
At the beginning of the lesson we do a Mihi, Karakia and Waiata. Our four goals (Nga Whainga o Wha) are leaning, knowing, performance and excellent performance.
We learnt a new song and moves, in the song we had to count to seven in Maori. We also had to do some other songs. Matua Steve lead the songs and actions and we had to copy. We had to make sure that we were in even rows, I hope we remember where we need to stand next week!
We had lots of fun and can't wait for our lesson next week.
